Using your own body weight and the resistant bands are more than enough to accomplish your goals, along with following the nutritional guidelines that are provided.
How does P90X Extreme home fitness workout work.
On your first 3 week, you will start out with strength training on days 1,3 and 5. Cardio exercises in the form of yoga, plyo, and kenpo are part of your training on days 2,4 and 6. Day 7 is a day for stretching.
Week 4 is concentrated more on core exercises, cardio and stretch, replacing the resistance training.
Weeks 5-7 The days of 2,4 and 6 are kept, but newer videos are added this is called “muscle confusion.”
Week 8 is the same as week 4, this will allow your body to catch up.
Weeks 9 and11 are the same as the first three weeks of strength training.
Weeks 10 and 12 are the same as weeks 5-7.
Final week is the same as weeks 4 and eight.
I know this may sound a bit overwhelming, but everything is laid out very clear in the book. After all this is an extreme home fitness program. Like mentioned before, if your goals are just set simply on toning and slimming down. The book also rearranges the videos in which is called the P90X Lean.
